The German Poker Days Mystery Bounty Edition attracted a massive turnout of poker enthusiasts. With a buy-in of €199 (€124 + €75 bounty), the tournament saw a total of 1,686 entries, and players were competing for a share of the guaranteed €300,000 prizepool.
The battle for top prizes reached its climax in the final day, where all advancing players were already in the money. The tournament featured an exciting Mystery Bounty phase, with the two largest bounties of €14,500 each being claimed by Andreas Scheirich and Yuriy Shevchuk.
The final table was dominated by German players, who occupied seven seats. In the last three games, Alexander Gromut, Andreas Scheirich, and Jochen Schmidt agreed to a 3-way ICM deal. At that moment, Schmidt held the biggest stack, but play continued for the trophy and an additional €3,740, which Gromut secured in a concluding three-way all-in showdown.
