Alexandru Gicovanu Claims Victory at Ola Poker Tour Main Event; Jon Kristian Kyte Triumphs in High Roller

The flagship tournament of the Ola Poker Tour festival, featuring a €350 buy-in, attracted a total of 724 entries. This count fell short of the set target, prompting organizers to cover a substantial overlay in the €400,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The prize pool also included 10 entry packages for the upcoming King's Million European Poker Championship, each valued at €3,000, awarded to the top 10 participants.

The final day saw the last 16 players return to the felt, with Ireland’s Ian Walsh starting as the chipleader. However, Walsh couldn’t maintain his lead and exited the tournament in 9th place.

When the field was down to the last four players, a deal was struck to divide the winnings. In the ensuing play, Alexandru Gicovanu emerged victorious, defeating British rival Vikesh Shah in the final showdown.

The festival also featured the Ola High Roller Bounty with a €500 + €200 Bounty buy-in.

The tournament saw 75 entries competing for 12 prize spots and a total of €15,000 in bounty rewards.

Norwegian poker pro Jon Kristian Kyte showcased his best form, cruising through the field without a hitch and defeating Poland’s Donat Norbert Dutkiewicz in the final heads-up. Kyte claimed an €8,374 payout from the main prize pool, plus an additional €2,000 in bounty rewards.
