Andrew Wilson Dominates Final Table at $10K GGMillion$, Bags $437,338

Article cover

This week's edition of the High Roller with a $10,000 buy-in attracted a total of 223 entries. The prizepool reached $2,173,100, with cash prizes set for the top 25 players. The final day featured a nine-handed final table filled with top-notch names.

The recognizable leader before the final was Sweden’s four-time GGMillion$ champion Simon “C.Darwin2” Mattsson, holding a massive stack of 116 big blinds.

However, the final brought unexpected twists. Mattsson lost the majority of his chips in two key hands against Wilson, who eliminated him with a confrontation of A d A c against A h Q d. From being the chipleader, the Swede unexpectedly bowed out first in 9th place, while Wilson built a formidable lead.

Wilson continued his elimination spree and entered heads-up play with a 10:1 advantage against Serbian player Andrija Robovic, who started the final table with the smallest stack.

Robovic didn’t give up and temporarily evened the score, but in the decisive hand, Wilson triumphed with K c Q c, calling Robovic’s all-in with 4 s 4 h. The board K s 5 c 8 s J s 9 d favored the British player, who also earned a $10,000 entry to the WSOP Paradise festival in the Bahamas.
