Calvin Anderson Secures His 8th WSOP Bracelet While Playing Slots

Third Trophy in Three Months

The evening's story began at Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip. Anderson went there to enjoy a good meal and try his luck on the slot machines. While playing the slots, he registered for the $777 Lucky 7's online tournament using his mobile account.

As casino slots blinked around him, his poker stack kept climbing. Once he tired of the slots, he jumped into his Tesla, drove home, and continued the poker game from his laptop.

He arrived home just as the final table was starting. There, Anderson methodically eliminated his opponents, including Nick Palma, who he knocked out in 7th place.

Entering heads-up against the player “Joedontknowh,” Anderson held a massive lead with almost a 50:1 advantage. The duel was merely a formality, and Anderson swiftly secured his 8th bracelet.

This triumph makes Calvin Anderson only the 12th player in WSOP history to reach the 8-bracelet milestone, joining the legendary ranks of Daniel Negreanu and Nick Schulman.

Moreover, it's his third career bracelet from WSOP Online and the third WSOP bracelet he has won in the past three months (following summer victories in the $10K Razz Championship and $10K H.O.R.S.E.).
