The Czech Poker Masters tournament, with a buy-in of just €150, attracted players from all over Europe. A total of 2,248 entries were recorded, but this wasn't enough to surpass the €400,000 guarantee. The organizers had to contribute a significant amount to the prizepool.
Included in the guarantee were ten €3,000 packages for the upcoming King's Million European Championship festival, awarded to the top ten participants of the final day.
The final day started with the last 24 players, led by the German player 'PassionForCards'. Entering the final table as a massive chipleader was Polish player Dariusz Giera, who eventually finished third. The ultimate showdown was between Romanian Florin Adrian Bilan, a player with nearly a million in career winnings, and the Czech contender Křovinořez.
The lead changed hands several times, and the tightly contested match was decided when Křovinořez went all-in with 5 h 4 s on the flop 5 s 4 d A d, and Bilan called with 9 d 6 d. The turn 2 c gave Bilan a flush draw as well as a straight draw, but the river 7 c did not help him, determining the winner.
