The first major chance for a title came in Event #27: $10,000 GGMillion$ PLO, which attracted 228 entries, with Negreanu entering the final table in second place.
The turning point occurred in a clash against eventual winner Andreas Freund from Austria. Both players found a flush in a giant pot, but Freund's queen-high flush meant a devastating blow to Daniel’s stack. Shortly after, Negreanu exited in 7th place with a prize of $71,409.
Negreanu addressed the hand on social media platform X after the tournament:
Kind of a fun/sick spot at the PLO FT.

Let’s break it down!
First note:
I’m playing for first and nothing else.
UTG raises second in chips, I’m chip leader in BB with QJ44cchh call
Flop Ac2h3c
Check check
Turn 8h.
This is the sickest turn card when I tell you his hand.…
Two days later, Negreanu secured his second final table appearance in the prestigious Event #29: $25,000 High Roller NLH Championship, which he streamed on YouTube.
He once again reached the position of chipleader but lost his lead in an unfortunate three-way all-in, where his A h K s couldn't beat Schemion’s A s Q s.
The most brutal moment of the championship came with four players left. Finnish chipleader Casimir Seire went all-in with 9 c 8 d, and Negreanu called with T d T h. Seire paired both his cards, finishing the Canadian star in 4th place for $415,699.
Well, we are playing some good poker.

Not so sure this guy understood that DNegs is not going to make ICM folds here, but alas!
86% chance to have a big chip lead.
On to the next!
Will fire up the stream again in about an hour folks and engage with chat. https://t.co/MYqtodzvMK
On Friday, September 25, Negreanu completed a remarkable final table hat-trick within five days in Event #30: $5,000 High Roller Bounty PLO. The final table began promisingly for Negreanu as he doubled his stack against Markus Ristola.
However, once again, fortune took a harsh turn. Negreanu was involved in a preflop all-in with A s A c Q c 3 h against Anatoly Zlotnikov, who also held aces A h A d J h 6 h. The board T c J d T h 5 h 9 h resulted in a runner-runner flush for Zlotnikov, leaving Daniel as the short stack.
Negreanu was knocked out by Slovenian pro Blaz Zerjav, who turned over a set of jacks against him. Negreanu finished in 6th place for $43,641 plus bounties.
Lost a key pot at FT but feel really good about how I’m playing

The Quest for the Ninth Bracelet Continues
Daniel Negreanu secured his 8th WSOP bracelet just two months ago in Las Vegas at the $50K PLO High Roller for $2.25 million. Despite three final tables in the current WSOP Online 2026 series and total earnings surpassing $500,000, he is still seeking his first online bracelet.
If he clinches the 9th title, he will become only the 10th player in WSOP history to achieve this feat. The WSOP Online 2026 championship continues until September 29, so “Kid Poker” still has several final opportunities to capture the much-desired trophy.
