 Spanish Qualifier Leads Main Event

The fourth day of the €5,300 Main Event began with 67 players from a total of 1,823 entries. By the end of the day, only 28 players remained, vying for the top prize of €1,370,050 from a total prize pool of €8,841,550. Every player at this stage is guaranteed at least €30,350.

At the top of the leaderboard is local player Jose Criado with a stack of 5,045,000 chips. Criado, who qualified through an online satellite, gained a massive chiplead after a huge preflop encounter where his K-K eliminated British EPT London 2005 champion Mark Teltscher, who held Q-Q.

Following him is fellow local Gerard Carbo (4,815,000), and completing the top three is Dutchman Joris Ruijs (4,625,000). Barbara Akemi also had an impressive day. The Brazilian, who owns a WSOP gold bracelet, advanced to Day 5 in fifth place, the last woman standing in the field.

Two former Barcelona Main Event champions are still in the hunt for a second title. 2015 winner John Juanda bagged a comfortable 1,855,000 chips, and 2016 champion Sebastian Malec continues with 1,485,000 chips. Nicolas Chouity (1,475,000), the EPT Monte Carlo 2010 champion, is also aiming for another win.

In contrast, Day 4 proved fatal for former champion Simon Wiciak (45th place for €22,900) and Brock Wilson (41st place for €22,900).

Northern Domination in PLO High Roller

The two-day Omaha special with a €10,250 buy-in attracted four-card enthusiasts from around the world. The tournament recorded 122 entries, building a massive prize pool of €1,183,400.

The trophy and top prize of €303,300 went to Latvian player Ralfs Blumbergs, who defeated Finnish opponent Markus Ristola in the final heads-up duel.

Chinese player Biao Ding finished fifth, but Nordic countries dominated the final table, taking six of the spots.

Tobias Leknes Claims Tenth EPT Title

A demanding mixed-format T-O-R-S-E event with a €5,200 buy-in welcomed 25 entries, generating a total prize pool of €121,250.

Norwegian phenomenon Tobias Leknes emerged victorious, showcasing flawless play to take home €52,100 for first place. This victory was historically significant for Leknes, marking his 10th title on the European Poker Tour (EPT) circuit and cementing his status as one of Europe's greatest mixed games players.

Polish Triumph for Puczylowski in a Massive Field

The classic one-day Hold'em with a €1,100 buy-in attracted a great deal of interest. A total of 402 entries formed a prize pool of €385,920.

After a long day, Polish player Marcin Puczylowski enjoyed victory, earning a well-deserved reward of €76,960. The final table showcased an exceptionally diverse international lineup yet remained purely European.

A Milestone Victory for Kolev

To wrap up the day, players engaged in a lightning-fast action in the popular Hyper Turbo format. A total of 260 players battled for shares of a €249,600 prize pool.

The €44,570 top prize was claimed by Bulgarian player Ivelin Kolev, who outlasted Italian Alessio Di Cesare in heads-up play. This win marked a career highlight and earned him his first EPT trophy.
