Hungarian Nemeth Unfazed by German Dominance

Poker enthusiasts were treated to a PL Omaha 6-Max tournament with a buy-in of €10,200, attracting a total of 58 entries, resulting in a massive prizepool of €562,600.

The main trophy and a first prize of €168,900 were claimed by Hungarian professional Andras Nemeth. The Hungarian player secured his first title of the current year and his sixth EPT trophy overall.

Nemeth faced German dominance in the final four, with three Germans alongside him. However, Nemeth managed to outlast the competition, defeating Dennis Weiss in the final heads-up.

Leon Sturm's Spectacular Run in Mystery Bounty

The €10,200 Mystery Bounty format was one of the most watched events at the EPT's start. The tournament drew 34 entries, with a total prizepool of €159,800 for placement winnings and €170,000 for mystery bounty rewards.

The winner was German talent Leon Sturm, who outperformed Austrian Bernhard Binder in the heads-up. Sturm claimed €60,700 for first place, adding another €32,500 in knockout bounties.

The largest bounty haul, however, went to fourth-place Tom Vogelsang, who collected a hefty €45,000 in envelopes.

Finnish specialist Eelis Jaakko Parssinen celebrated the top award of €98,950, confirming his reputation as one of the best players globally in this format. He defeated Australia's Geoffrey Mooney in the final battle, securing his first victory on the EPT circuit.
