Event #31: King's 60K Super High Roller attracted several top-tier poker players to Jeju Island. With a total of 66 entries, the prize pool soared to $3,706,600, making it the largest financial draw of the series so far.
The final day delivered a thrilling storyline. The initial chipleader from the final table's outset, Japan's Ryuta Nakai, couldn't find his rhythm and ultimately finished in 5th place.
Beyond the winner's tale, Frenchman Hugues Girard crafted an unforgettable narrative. On the second day, he was down to a single 25,000-chip and entered the nine-handed final table as the absolute short stack with 175,000 chips. Girard, however, showcased an incredible run with six successful all-ins, concluding his run with a bronze medal finish and a $470,000 prize.
Heading into the final heads-up, Calvin Lee had a slight edge, but Tsai seized control after an all-in on the river with a completed full house that forced Lee to fold.
In the tournament's decisive hand, Lee went all-in with J d J c, and Tsai called with K s J h. The champion was determined by a river nine on the board 4 d Q h T c 7 h 9 c, completing a straight for Tsai. Eric Tsai could not hide his emotions post-victory, dedicating his win to his wife.
