Million-Euro Guarantee with Significant Overlay
The tournament, boasting a tempting 1,000,000€ guarantee and a 390€ buy-in, attracted a wide international field with a total of 1,893 entries in Rozvadov. Despite the massive participation, it fell short of the million threshold. Players enjoyed a significant overlay from the organizers, which only increased the tournament's allure.
By Monday's finale, 33 players remained, and Slovak fans had plenty to cheer for — their compatriot Jozef Cibiček was the current chipleader. Unfortunately, poker luck can be fickle, and despite a promising start, Cibiček exited in an unlucky 11th place, earning 7,320€.
When only four players were left in the tournament, they discussed a deal. Patrik Jaroš secured the best position and largest share of the prizepool, ultimately celebrating the overall victory. Alongside the trophy, he took home 120,500€, plus a 3,000€ package to the King's Million European Poker Championship, included as part of the top rewards.
Jaroš thus added another prestigious title on home soil, now approaching career winnings of 4 million dollars.
