Two Tournaments, Two Trophies

Simpson kicked off his winning streak at UKPL Manchester in the High Roller, overcoming a 49-player field. A lucky river card was crucial for him during a key hand – his A-K faced off against Josh Manley's pocket kings, but an ace on the final community card kept him in the game.

From that moment, Simpson was unstoppable, eventually battling his way through the final table to a heads-up match against Andy Wilson, where he claimed a £6,620 victory.

High Roller Final Results:

# Player Winnings
1. Ian Simpson £16,620
2. Andy Wilson £11,400
3. Martin Byrne £7,600
4. Harry Sandford £5,230
5. Niall Grace £3,800
6. Josh Manley £2,850

Main Event Brings Another Triumph

Riding high on momentum, Simpson dove into the Main Event, where he reaffirmed his form. The tournament attracted 345 entries, and the former Irish Open champion reached heads-up once more. In the final showdown, he defeated Ali Mallu to claim the top prize of £38,000 and his second trophy.

Main Event Final Results:

# Player Winnings
1. Ian Simpson £38,000
2. Ali Mallu £25,400
3. Lewis Spencer £16,700
4. Ronnie Marland £11,000
5. Tom Cazaletz £7,500
6. Callum Morgan £5,400
7. Gaoyang Yang £4,200
8. Mohammed Ifzail £3,400
9. Colin Myott £2,840

Simpson's double victory came after a less successful summer in Las Vegas and a challenging period online. He admitted that results leading up to Manchester weren't meeting his expectations. Yet, at the UKPL, everything turned around, and triumphs in the High Roller and Main Event brought him a total of £54,620.
