The WSOPC Tulsa Main Event with a $1,700 buy-in attracted a total of 376 entries, pushing the total prizepool to $569,640. The winnings were divided among the top 57 players, but the real spectacle came from the duo Jesse Jones and Dave Alfa.

The final day featured rapid action at the final table, leading to a heads-up showdown between these two ring holders. After an hour of play, Jesse Jones and Dave Alfa decided to pause the game, bag their chips, and return on Monday at noon.

Monday's play turned into an epic seven-hour trench warfare. Jones started with a massive 5:1 lead, but Alfa quickly doubled up with 7 h 7 c against 4 d 4 c, leveling the stacks.

The lead kept shifting back and forth. Alfa even turned the tables with a 3:1 advantage and was one card away from victory, but Jones was saved by a straight on the river.

Dave Alfa's Phenomenal Close to the Festival

Though Dave Alfa finished "only" second in the Main Event, he leaves Tulsa as one of the biggest winners of the entire event. Just days before the Main Event final, Alfa managed to win two WSOPC gold rings in 24 hours, boosting his collection to seven within a single week.

Alfa first dominated the one-day Event #12: $600 Black Chip Bounty, earning $6,980. The next day, he ventured into the finale of Event #11: $400 Monster Stack, where he secured victory, claiming $27,709 and another ring.

With an astounding record of two victories and one incredibly close second place in the Main Event, Dave Alfa departs Hard Rock Tulsa with a six-figure sum, marking himself as one of the standout figures on this year’s WSOP Circuit scene!
