The journey to the title culminated in an exciting final day, narrowing the field down to the final nine. Before the heads-up match, Joe McKeehen and David Greufe agreed on an ICM deal, dividing most of the prizepool, leaving $40,000 and the prestigious trophy up for grabs.
In the decisive hand, McKeehen called his opponent's all-in with A d Q d. Greufe, holding K d 9 d, needed help from the board, but it came down Q c 6 d 2 c 4 d 8 c, sealing McKeehen's victory with a winning pair.
David Greufe claimed $390,804 for second place after the deal, marking his new personal best.
