The Event #3: $10,500 NLH drew 78 entries, creating a prizepool of $780,000. Cash prizes were shared among the top 12 players. The bubble boy, much like in the first event, was Adrian Mateos.
The final day saw six players return, led by chipleader Jeremy Ausmus. However, things took a disastrous turn for Ausmus as Daniyal Gheba doubled through him, and he eventually exited in 6th place when his 10-9 couldn’t hold against Weissman’s A-Q.
Gheba then eliminated Dylan Linde and Brock Wilson, holding a significant lead. The turning point came when Weissman doubled his stack with Q-Q against Gheba’s 7-7. Shortly thereafter, Weissman knocked out Shorr in 3rd place, entering heads-up with a 7:1 chip lead.
The heads-up battle lasted just one hand. Gheba went all-in with Q s 3 s, but he was behind Weissman’s Q c 8 c. After the turn J s 2 h 2 c 2 d, a chop threatened, but the river 8 s sealed Weissman’s victory.
