King's Million 23rd Birthday: Eugenio Cupellini Triumphantly Celebrates Resort's Anniversary

Article cover

The King's Million tournament once again affirmed its status as one of the largest poker events in Europe. Although the organizers set the guarantee at an enticing €1,000,000, the massive interest from players easily surpassed this mark. A total of 5,769 entries were recorded, generating a prizepool of €1,114,570 at a buy-in of €230.

In the final day, 48 players took their seats, with a German player nicknamed “Tourist” starting as the chipleader. However, it was Cupellini who dominated the final table, eliminating most of his opponents and ensuring the final showdown was an all-Italian affair.

Cupellini faced Eros Zappacosta in heads-up play, entering the match with a massive 6:1 chip lead and leaving no room for drama. He confidently cruised to a career-defining victory and, in addition to the cash prize, like all players in the top ten, received a €3,000 package, including tickets to the upcoming Kings Million European Poker Championship.
