The Summer Polish Poker Cup once again proved to be among the most popular events in the region. Players from all over the world flocked to Banco Bratislava, producing a record-breaking 4,013 entries that boosted the original guarantee to an impressive €505,638. Yesterday, the final phase of the Main Event saw the confrontation of the top nine players.

Sitting at the final table as the chipleader was local favorite Boris Zelený with a massive stack of 45 million chips, closely followed by the experienced Maksym Ronshyn from Ukraine.

As the last four players remained, an ICM deal was made and play continued for over €20,000 more. After Zelený's exit, players renegotiated, continuing to play for more than €15,000. Maksym Ronshyn showcased an impressive finish, initially losing momentum in the final heads-up against Michal Miecznikowski. The tide turned when Ronshyn held pocket nines against his opponent's AK in a preflop all-in.
Ronshyn seized the initiative, eventually overcoming his last opponent. For his triumph in the record-breaking Summer Polish Poker Cup, he claimed €64,779, a Road to Dubai package, and a ticket to the upcoming Epicbet Club Championship. From Banco Bratislava, this marks his second major title, following his win at the 43rd Banco Casino Masters in January. Congratulations!
