Mike Hurley Wins Main Event RGPS in St. Louis and Claims His First Ring

The $800 Main Event drew 407 entries, creating a prize pool of $284,900. For Hurley, the victory was especially sweet as he lives just 15 minutes from the casino and regularly participates in local cash games several times a week.

At the final table, Hurley faced off against longtime friends Jeff Copeland and Craig Welko, who cheered him on from the rail after their eliminations.

In the concluding heads-up, Hurley went against Jacob Tourville. Early in the duel, Tourville doubled his stack, taking the lead, but Hurley managed to turn the tide in his favor.

In the decisive hand, Hurley went all-in with A h 3 h and Tourville called with A d K d. The flop 7 h 5 h 7 s gave Hurley a flush draw, but it was the turn 3 c that sealed his victory, as the river J d failed to help Tourville.
