Bruno Furth Clinches First PGT Title in Main Event

The winner of the first event, the $3,100 Main Event, was American PLO specialist Bruno Furth. Despite entering the final day as the chipleader, his journey to the trophy and a $150,000 prize was far from straightforward. Throughout the day, the leaderboard saw several changes, and Furth even found himself at the bottom at one point.

The pivotal moment came with his triple-up against Chino Rheem, simultaneously knocking out Eran Carmi. Furth entered the heads-up against Rheem with a 2:1 advantage and sealed his victory with a full house in the final hand.

This triumph marked Furth's first title on the PGT circuit and catapulted him to the top of the PGT PLO series leaderboard, where players compete for the prestigious gold cup.

Historic 14th Title for Sam Soverel

The second event of the series was the $5,100 PLO High Roller, which attracted 54 entries, creating a $270,000 prizepool. Sam Soverel dominated the tournament, earning himself $89,100 for first place and extending his record to an astonishing 14 titles on the PokerGO Tour (PGT).

Soverel entered the tournament late, just before the end of late registration, but quickly amassed a massive stack, heading into the final table of six players as the chipleader. The final heads-up against Michael Wang was a dramatic affair, lasting nearly two hours.

The decisive moment came when Soverel, with his J-5-4-3, hit two pairs, definitively besting Wang's A-Q-7-6.
