Konstantin Held in Top Form

One of the major highlights so far has been the elite Event #35: Super U Challenge. The tournament, with a buy-in of $8,000, attracted a total of 108 entries, pushing the prizepool to a massive $783,600. The winner was renowned German player Konstantin Held, who walked away with a $205,300 prize and the complete Red Dragon victory package, including a trophy, iconic jacket, and diamond bracelet.

Held, already boasting titles from both WPT and WSOP, delivered an exceptionally dominant performance at the final table. Although Yayun Liu entered the finale as a massive chipleader, Held managed to eliminate him in third place and entered heads-up against Vietnam's Toan Chan Truong with a significant lead.

In the decisive hand, Held sealed Truong's fate when he hit trips on the flop with A-4, while Truong held K-9.

Red Dragon Plus Championship – Record Field Finalized

The main event of the series, Event #33: Red Dragon Plus Championship with a buy-in of 4,000,000 KRW, has officially closed registration, setting historic records. The total number of entries reached an impressive 931, creating a prizepool exceeding 3,000,000,000 KRW (approximately 2 million dollars).

After the initial flights, the field narrowed down to 303 players, who took their seats today for the second day of play. Leading the overall chip count after Day 1A was China's Jieming Xu, who was the only one to surpass 900,000 in chips with a stack of 959,000. Just behind him was Australian pro Aaron Lim (837,000), who dominated flight 1B, alongside Yongbin Wang (824,000).

Since late registration ended at the start of Day 2, the prize for the winner has yet to be announced.

Triumph for Aichun Li and Dong Li’s Double Victory

Beyond the main events, the side events also brought remarkable individual successes.

A phenomenal feat was achieved by Chinese player Dong Li, who managed to win two different Omaha format tournaments in a single day. First, he conquered Event #40: PLO Bounty for 8,007,000 KRW, and a few hours later, claimed victory in Event #43: 5 Card PLO High, adding another 6,828,000 KRW.

The prestigious Ladies Event #41: Lady Dragon Plus was dominated by Aichun Li. Out of a field of 61 entries, she secured victory after a heads-up battle with Chunnuan Xu and took home a prize of 15,603,000 KRW (approximately $10,505).

Both have shown immense dominance of Chinese players at this year’s festival.
