Robert Chorlian Climbs from Shortstack to Capture First PGT Title

Chorlian's Spectacular Final Performance

The second tournament of the prestigious four-card series held at PokerGO Studio drew 106 entries, creating a total prizepool of $530,000. The top 16 players received payouts, but only the winner took home a six-figure sum.

Spanish PLO specialist Lautaro Guerra entered the final day as the chipleader, while Chorlian had the fewest chips among the six finalists. However, Chorlian quickly doubled his stack through Guerra and then eliminated two-time WSOP bracelet winner Taylor Paur in 6th place.

The final heads-up formed after Guerra knocked out Ky Nguyen in 4th place and Chorlian eliminated Sean Rafael in 3rd place.

Entering the heads-up, Chorlian had more than a 2:1 lead and swiftly capitalized on it. In the decisive hand, Guerra went all-in after the turn with A d 9 s 5 h 3 c on a board showing A s T d 9 h 5 s. Chorlian called with A h J d T s 9 c, and after the 7 h river, he celebrated his tournament victory.

Sean Rafael's Immediate Second Chance

Though Sean Rafael finished in third place in Event #2, he didn't have to wait long for another shot at a title. In the following Event #3: $10,500 PLO, he's delivering another stellar performance.

Rafael closed the first day by eliminating Jeremy Druckman in 6th place and stands in 2nd among the last 5 players. Greek player Roussos Koliakoudakis leads with nearly triple Rafael's stack.

The event saw 66 entries, creating a prizepool of $660,000. The winner will walk away with $198,000.
