Sergio Giha Triumphs at the Inaugural RGPS Pompano Beach Main Event

American player Sergio Giha made history as the first-ever champion of the RunGood Passport (RGPS) Main Event at Harrah’s Pompano Beach. Although he originally had no plans to play and only discovered the tournament by chance while playing a cash game, his impromptu decision turned into a triumphant journey that culminated in a title and a prestigious ring after two days of intense play.

The Main Event, with a $1,100 buy-in, attracted a total of 195 entries, competing for a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. Giha in the final heads-up defeated WPT champion Art Peacock, landing a flush with 5 h 2 h on a board of K h 8 h 4 h 3 s 7 s against two pairs held by his opponent with 8 c 4 s. His victory earned him the top prize of $59,657.
