The USOP Vietnam 2026 Main Event with a buy-in of 30 million VND (~$1,100) was held at the luxurious InterContinental Ha Long Bay resort. The tournament attracted a massive field of 1,520 entries, pushing the prize pool to an impressive 39,019,520,000 VND (~$1,479,620).
The final table was initially dominated by Neng Zhao, who lost his lead after an unsuccessful massive bluff against Minh Thang Tran and ultimately finished fourth.
Pham entered the heads-up with a 3:1 lead over the aforementioned Tran. In the final hand of the tournament, Tran risked everything with A c 2 c, but Pham's A h T h sealed her dominance on the board 9 h 6 h 3 d 7 c T c.
Pham's victory was even more emotional as her proud parents watched from the venue. In Asian culture, it can sometimes be challenging for women to assert their passion for poker, but Thi Minh Hong Pham earned the respect of her entire family with her perseverance and achievements.
For the Vietnamese player, this marks her second Main Event title this year after winning the UK Poker Championships in Nottingham in January. Her victory prize of 6.2 billion VND (approximately $235,105) sets a new career high, bringing her lifetime winnings closer to the one million dollar mark.
