Incredible Comeback by Ngo Khoa Anh

Event #8: $10,000 NLH 7-Handed has been forever etched in the series’ history, thanks to its winner. Vietnamese professional Ngo Khoa Anh delivered a stunning performance, climbing from a short stack position to the title, becoming the first player ever with two Triton ONE titles. His first victory came in September 2025 in the $2K NLH 8-Handed, but this recent triumph is far more significant, with a 347-entry field, a $3,154,577 prizepool, and a $612,000 prize.

Anh entered the final table with just 6 big blinds but doubled up on the first hand and continued to build his stack. In a dramatic heads-up, he faced China’s Wang Yang. The decisive hand occurred when Wang went all-in with A d 3 s and Anh called with A s 4 d. Although Wang hit a three on the flop, a five on the turn completed the winning straight for Anh.

The champion, who started playing poker “just for fun” during the pandemic, was moved and praised the professionalism of the event’s organization.

Notably, recent champions Jon-Peter Rounce-Sue (event #12) and Ding Renjie (event #2) are still in contention for their second title of the current series. However, prominent names like Dan Dvoress (26th place), Adrian Mateos (64th place), and legendary Paul Phua (105th place) have already exited on paid positions.
