Triton SHRS Jeju 2026: Alex Foxen and Robert Cowen Capture the Final Trophies of the Series

Article cover

Smooth and Commanding Finish for Alex Foxen

The penultimate event of the festival was a $75,000 PLO 6-Handed tournament, which drew 60 entries and created a prizepool of $4.5 million. The victor was American Alex Foxen, claiming his fourth title in the Triton series.

Foxen's path to victory was surprisingly untroubled in the final stages. He began the final day as the chipleader, solidifying his dominance in a crucial moment against Philip Sternheimer. Sternheimer attempted a massive bluff, but Foxen held firm with his straight, calling and securing 75% of the chips in play.

The final table was one of the quickest in history. In about 10 hands, the tournament moved from five players to an ultimate winner. In heads-up play, Foxen overwhelmed Eelis Parssinen, securing a $1,260,000 payday after two challenging weeks with few wins.

Cowen's Historic Bounty Hunt

The event concluded with a thrilling and fast-paced $30,000 PLO Turbo Bounty tournament. In this format, a special bounty of $40,000 is awarded for each player knocked out once only 10 players remain.

The champion was Brit Robert Cowen, who performed a near-perfect feat by capturing 9.5 out of 10 possible bounty awards, a rarity at Triton.

Cowen stormed through the final table, which lasted just 52 minutes, eliminating players in rapid succession. In one hand, he knocked out both Ben Tollerene and Gergo Nagy, followed by Jason Koon and Lautaro Guerra. While top-tier players like Stephen Chidwick and Punnat Punsri could only watch his run, Cowen gathered chip after chip.

In the final heads-up, he faced fellow countryman Chidwick, who held only 4 big blinds against Cowen's 152. The inevitable came as Cowen hit a flush on the river, locking in his first Triton title. In total, he took home $242,000 from the main prizepool and an astonishing $380,000 in bounty rewards.
