Austrian Bernhard Binder in 'Triton Comfort'
The $125,000 NLH 7-Handed event attracted 84 entries, creating a hefty prize pool of $10.5 million. The overall winner was 27-year-old Austrian Bernhard Binder, who humorously remarked that he had slept under Triton-themed bedcovers as a child and had dreamed of this moment ever since.
Binder continued his spectacular form from December, where he won $10 million at the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event in the Bahamas, and now he has notched his first victory on the Triton tour.
The final trio of Binder, Kiat Lee, and Danilo Velasevic agreed on an ICM deal, with Binder securing the largest share of the money as the chipleader.
Soon after, one of the tournament's most intriguing hands occurred when Binder, with 7 h 2 h, called on the flop and turn to complete a flush on the river, winning a massive pot against Velasevic's A h K c. This pair eventually faced off in the heads-up, which Binder won in the first hand to claim more than $2 million overall.

Sebastian Gaehl's First Live Title
German professional Sebastian Gaehl converted his extensive online experience into his first major live poker triumph. The 28-year-old, who began as an online qualifier, navigated through a field of 116 entries in the $50,000 NLH 7-Handed event, battling in a star-studded final to win a prestigious trophy and $1,392,000. Visibly emotional, Gaehl expressed how long he had waited for this victory.
The path to victory was far from easy, with the final table packed with elite players like Alex Kulev and Matthias Eibinger. In the heads-up, Gaehl confronted American Brandon Wilson, starting with nearly a 2:1 lead.
Although Gaehl offered to discuss a deal, Wilson declined, a decision that ultimately did not play in his favor. The tournament concluded swiftly when Wilson's all-in with A h 9 c was overpowered by Gaehl's A d T s, with no surprises from the board.

Mehdi Chaoui's Historic Triumph
The first turbo event of the festival, the $30,000 NLH Turbo, was packed with adrenaline and rapid eliminations. The victory was claimed by 25-year-old Mehdi Chaoui, who became the first-ever Moroccan champion in Triton’s history. It was also the 250th event in the series' 10-year history. Chaoui took home $747,000 for topping a field of 99 entries.
The final table was full of twists, especially for Brazilian Pedro Padilha, who entered with just one big blind but managed to jump several positions to finish sixth.
Chaoui, too, was at one point on the brink of elimination but stayed afloat to reach the final heads-up against Vietnamese newcomer Nguyen Le. The winner celebrated his triumph with a video call to his father, who had to pull over when he heard the news.
