Petrangelo and Simao Bag Over 2 Million Each
The 10th-anniversary celebration of the Triton Poker series, in the form of Event #15: $150K 10th Anniversary Special, attracted an exclusive field of 67 entries. The total prize pool soared to $10,050,000, with the top 11 players sharing the cash rewards.
The final day was full of surprises. One of the craziest hands of the entire festival played out before the money bubble burst. In a four-way pre-flop all-in, Sam Greenwood with K c Q s, Matthias Eibinger 8 c 8 h, Patrik Antonius A s K s, and Daniel Dvoress J d J h clashed. The flop 2 d A h 4 h gave Antonius the lead, but the turn 7 h and river 2 h handed Dvoress a flush, leading to an unprecedented elimination of three stars simultaneously.

Belgian player Thomas Boivin delivered dramatic moments as well. After losing a hand with A s J s against Joao Simao's A d A h, he was left with a stack of 15,000 (less than 1 BB), yet astonishingly doubled up multiple times to reach 695,000. His run, however, ended in 5th place for $783,000.
The final heads-up was between two long-time friends, American Nick Petrangelo and Brazilian Joao Simao. Simao held a lead of more than 3:1, so the players quickly agreed on an ICM deal. Simao secured $2,517,090, while Petrangelo guaranteed himself $2,132,910, leaving an additional $80,000 and the prestigious title up for grabs.
The duo decided to finish the tournament in a friendly way with blind all-ins, where Petrangelo won three in a row, capturing his second career Triton title. Simao, who won the $200K Triton Invitational in Jeju, wrapped up an incredible festival with total earnings of nearly $9.9 million.

Wang Ye Claims His First Title
The very last tournament of the festival was the fast-paced, one-day Event #16: $30K NLH Turbo. The quick structure drew 23 entries, and the prize pool stood at $690,000.
The star of the evening was Chinese player Wang Ye, who had over $11 million in Triton earnings and two second-place finishes but had yet to capture the elusive trophy.
After Artur Martirosian's bubble-busting elimination, Wang Ye took full control of the table, knocking out Punnat Punsri in 4th place and Matthias Eibinger in 3rd place, advancing to the heads-up against Malaysian Kiat Lee with the lead.
In the final hand, Wang Ye found a full house with J s 7 c on the board of J c 7 s T s 9 d 7 h, beating Lee's straight with 8 s 4 c. Wang Ye thus claimed his maiden Triton trophy and a $256,000 reward.
