The final table initially seemed like a total demolition orchestrated by Argentine poker phenomenon Alejandro Lococo. He single-handedly eliminated five of his opponents, with his biggest moment of the day coming in the final four when he knocked out two players at once.

In a three-way all-in, Lococo's A c T s faced off against Mehdi Chaoui's 9 h 9 d and Justin Saliba's Q s J d. After the turn J c 7 h 8 c Q c, Saliba was ahead with two pairs, but the river 9 c completed a winning flush for Lococo. In one swift moment, Mehdi Chaoui was out in 4th place and Justin Saliba in 3rd.

Entering the final heads-up, Lococo held a significant lead with a 2.5:1 chip advantage. However, Roiter kept his cool and waited for his opportunity. First, he successfully doubled up, and then came the hand that would go down in Triton history.

Facing the weakest starting hand, 7 d 2 c, Roiter completed a full house on the board 5 d 7 h T c 7 s 5 h. He moved all-in on the river, and Lococo called with Q s J h, leaving him with a single big blind.

The very next hand sealed the deal, and Klemens Roiter, who had previously reached the final table 11 times on the Triton circuit without a win, finally broke the curse.

Danilo Velasevic Edges Closer to the Million-Dollar Prize

The third event of the South Korean festival is the $25K NLH Titi Poker. With a total of 210 entries, the prize pool reached $5,250,000. The top 34 players will share the prize money, with $1,090,000 reserved for the overall winner.

After the first day, the field narrowed down to 52 players, who secured their spots in Day 2. Serbian player Danilo Velasevic emerged as the chipleader, closely followed by Vietnam's Khoa Anh Ngo and Britain's Joe Hindry.

The top ten of the provisional rankings also include Hungarian high roller specialist Laszlo Bujtas and American David Coleman. Other notable names advancing to Day 2 are the legendary Phil Ivey, recent champion Klemens Roiter, and players Kayhan Mokri and Adrian Mateos.
