Dan Dvoress' Spectacular Comeback
The $100,000 buy-in Omaha Main Event attracted 76 entries, pushing the prize pool to an impressive $7.6 million. The final day began with the last six players under the command of chipleader Manuel Stojanovic, with Dan Dvoress at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Yet again, Dvoress proved his ability to stay cool under pressure. “I approached the final table as the last in line and mentally prepared myself with strategies to climb to a better payout,” the champion later confessed. However, the situation quickly turned around as Dvoress gradually eliminated several opponents, including Finnish legend Patrik Antonius, who finished fourth.
In the final heads-up, Dvoress faced off against the original chipleader Stojanovic. The decisive moment came when Dvoress completed a flush with K c J c 6 c 4 c on a board 8 c 3 c 2 h J h Q c, ultimately defeating his opponent who held A d K h 8 d 3 s.
For the 37-year-old Canadian, it marked his second title in the current Montenegro festival and fifth career victory on the Triton circuit. “I feel like some of my previous wins were in smaller tournaments. Winning the title in the Main Event is an absolutely incredible feeling,” expressed the emotional champion, who took home $2,018,000, a personal record at Triton.

Matthias Eibinger's Fortunate Hand
After narrowly missing the final day of the PLO Main Event, Austrian Matthias Eibinger bounced back in the PLO Mystery Bounty event. The 50,000$ buy-in tournament, which saw 47 entries, led Eibinger to his seventh Triton series title.
Initially struggling in the Hold'em events, Eibinger found his footing in Omaha. “The series started brutally. I feared it would end up being my only fruitless trip to Triton, but the last events saved me,” Eibinger admitted.
In the final heads-up, he defeated Brazil's Joao Simao, but the pivotal hand happened when three were left. Simao held A c Q s Q h 4 d, Garcia K s 9 s 9 d 3 h, and Eibinger K d 7 c 3 c 2 d, with all three players moving their chips in. The board T h 9 c 4 c 8 c 3 d ended Garcia's run and gave Eibinger a massive lead, shortly before he celebrated his title win.
Besides the $353,000 for first place, Eibinger also excelled in selecting envelopes, drawing the top bounty prize of $250,000, bringing his tournament total to $1,053,000.
