Two Days, Two Trophies, and Nearly $360,000: Daniel Smiljkovic Dominates Wynn Summer Classic

Article cover

The first and most significant victory for the German player came on Friday, June 5, when a massive $1,100 NLH event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million culminated. The tournament attracted a huge field of 1,911 entries, which easily surpassed the guarantee, setting the final prize pool at $1,843,150.

Smiljkovic defeated Noel Eicher in the final heads-up, claiming his first trophy of the year from Wynn along with a $311,935 prize.

But Smiljkovic wasn't done collecting trophies. The very next day, on Saturday, June 6, he sat down for another $1,100 NLH event, this time with a $200,000 guarantee. Among a field of 209 entries, he once again found no equal, winning against Antonio Galiana Ortega in the final showdown and lifted his second cup in two days, this time earning $47,719.
