Champion Valentin Lita, originally from Romania and residing in Virginia for 23 years, works in construction and only began focusing intensely on poker in recent years. He entered the final day mid-field and showcased an impressive comeback in the final stages.
In a crucial showdown, he eliminated Donald Pritt in third place, entering the heads-up against Marshall White with a commanding lead. In the decisive hand, Lita went all-in with 9 h 9 s, successfully holding off White's A d K c.
Apart from earning the largest win of his career, Lita also secured a valuable $5K package for the upcoming WSOP Paradise Championship in the Bahamas this December.
