For Vamos Poker Tour, this is not just a routine stop. Slovakia holds a special place in the series' history, as the first event ever in VPT's history took place in Card Casino back in September 2022. Now the tour returns to where the entire story began, this time at the premises of Card Casino Šamorín, just 15 minutes from Bratislava.
The Largest Season in VPT History Continues
The Vamos Poker Tour kicked off 2026 with an ambitious plan for eight festival stops across Europe. This season, the series targets seven countries and overall guarantees totaling €3.5 million. After debuts in Rozvadov and Bucharest, the Slovakian stop is up next, serving as one of the crucial highlights on the calendar.
The foundational philosophy of the series remains the same: accessible buy-ins, quality structures, a festival atmosphere, and a program that caters to recreational players as well as regular grinders. VPT also incentivizes players with long-term leaderboards, including the festival MVP Ranking with a €5,000 guarantee at each stop and the year-long “Vamos a Las Vegas” Annual Ranking with over €30,000 in prizes.
What VPT Slovakia 2026 Has to Offer
The Slovakian festival kicks off on Tuesday, June 9, and culminates on Monday, June 15, with the final day of the Main Event. The schedule is designed to give players multiple opportunities throughout the week to enter the main tournament, play qualifiers, and try exciting side events.
Apart from the Main Event, the VPT High Roller with a buy-in of €630+€70 and a €50,000 guarantee will be a major draw, along with the PLO Championship KO with a €15,000 guarantee, the Warm Up with a €25,000 guarantee, Deepstack, Grandstack, The Saver, and several KO Turbo events. Open Face Chinese Poker is also featured, adding a pleasant variety to the schedule beyond the traditional NLH formats.
VPT Main Event: €250,000 GTD and Seven Starting Flights
The star of the festival will be the VPT Main Event with a buy-in of €315+€35 and a €250,000 guarantee. Players will receive 60,000 chips in the starting flights, with most flights offering 30-minute levels.
The Main Event kicks off on Tuesday evening with a satellite to Day 1A, with the first official flight scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, at 5:30 PM. Subsequent flights will continue each day until Sunday, June 14, when the final turbo flight Day 1G takes place. Day 2 is set for Sunday at 4:00 PM, and the new champion of the Slovakian VPT stop will be crowned on Monday, June 15, from 4:00 PM.
