Vamos Poker Tour Continues in Portugal

Vamos Poker Tour is on the move. Just weeks after the Slovakian stop in Card Casino Šamorín, the series shifts to Portugal as VPT Troia 2026 kicks off today. From July 20th to 26th, Casino Troia will host a festival with a total guarantee of €300,000, spread across 9 main tournaments.

Troia is one of the most exciting stops of the season. It's not just about poker but also the location. Casino Troia is situated right by the beach, in the same building as the Troia Design Hotel, blending poker, the sea, relaxation, and a holiday atmosphere. That's why Vamos Poker Tour itself presents it as one of the top locations of the year.

Main Attractions: Main Event, High Roller, and Opening Event

All eyes will traditionally be on the Main Event with a buy-in of €320+€30 and a guarantee of €125,000. The first flight is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:00 PM, with additional starting days on Thursday and Friday. Friday evening will also feature a turbo flight. Day 2 is set for Saturday, and a new champion will be crowned on Sunday.

Yet, the festival kicks off with a Warm Up event, featuring a buy-in of €155+€20 and a €35,000 guarantee, starting Monday. A strong program component will be the VPT High Roller, with a buy-in of €630+€70 and a €50,000 guarantee, starting Wednesday and concluding Thursday. The program is rounded out by the PLO Championship KO, Grandstack, Ultra PKO Turbo, Mini Vamos, EPM Super High Roller KO, and the final The Saver Progressive KO. This means a full-fledged festival week for players, catering not only to Main Event hunters but also bounty fans, Omaha enthusiasts, and lovers of faster-paced side events.

Extra Motivation: MVP Ranking, Las Vegas, and Squad Battle

At each stop, Vamos Poker Tour also relies on long-term promotions. VPT Troia will be no exception. Players can collect points for the festival's MVP Ranking, where at least €5,000 in prizes is guaranteed at each stop. Part of the season is also the year-long ranking "Vamos to Las Vegas," with over €30,000 in prizes and a WSOP Main Event 2027 entry for the winner.

Especially for Troia, the VPT Squad Battle is prepared. The team that accumulates the most points in the MVP Ranking during the festival will win a package for VPT Sofia 2026 worth over €3,300. The package includes hotel rooms, a stay in a five-star hotel, meals, transfers, and four entries to Vamos Main Event.
