The VP Slovakia festival kicked off on Tuesday and has already awarded its first trophies. In the Open Face Chinese Poker Progressive event, Spanish player Jorge Garcia Galiani turned his €225+€25 entry into a €1,965 prize in the 19-entry tournament.
The next day, action heated up in the PLO Championship KO, where 37 entries saw Austrian player Christoph Hillinger claim the title and €4,450. Slovakia left a significant mark with Pavol Guris finishing second, taking home €3,500. Third place went to Jorge Rodriguez Suanzes from Spain, earning €2,920.
One of the festival's early highlights was the VPT High Roller, with a buy-in of €630+€70 and a €50,000 guarantee. The tournament attracted 103 entries and showcased an intriguing international final table lineup. Hungarian player Attila Koncz emerged victorious, pocketing €15,750.

Main Event Has Completed Four Flights with 291 Entries
The centerpiece of the festival is the VPT Main Event with a buy-in of €315+€35 and a €250,000 guarantee. After the initial four flights, it's clear that the tournament is off to a strong start. Days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D have altogether seen 291 entries, with 38 players advancing to the next stage.
The largest stack after these flights belongs to Romania's Adrian Cornelius Goroholinschi, who bagged 896,000 in Day 1C. Close behind him is Japan's Reiya Ishida with 878,000 from Day 1B, and the third-largest stack belongs to Spain's Joel De La Torre Fernandez, who packed 847,000.
