Vamos Poker Tour Slovakia Heads to the Finale: 660 Entries, Last 16 Players, and €42,000 for the Champion

The tournament saw 86 players make it into the money, with a minimum cash of €700. However, the largest prize is still up for grabs. The future champion will take home €42,000 from Šamorín along with a €1,500 ticket to the WSOP Main Event.

After a lengthy second day of play, the final 16 players will return to the tables today at 4:00 PM to battle for the title. Leading the pack into the final day is Tamer Mohamed Abdelzaher Ibrahim from Egypt, holding 5,250,000 in chips. He's followed closely by Romania's Traian Niko Gemanariu with a stack of 4,625,000, and the top three are rounded out by Hungary's Jozsef Dobos with 4,180,000.

Local fans will have players to root for in the final. Slovakian player Karol Masarovic brings 2,855,000 to the finale, sitting in seventh place. Other Slovaks continuing in the tournament include Lukas Benkovic with 1,885,000, Tomas Vojtek with 1,770,000, Matej Macejak with 1,475,000, and Gabriel Izo with 680,000.

Grandstack Victory for Filip Marchand

Apart from the Main Event, other festival events wrapped up over the weekend. The Grandstack, with a buy-in of €135+€15 and a guarantee of €15,000, attracted 72 entries. French player Filip Marchand claimed the victory, taking home €4,700. Hungarian Jozsef Dobos finished in second place for €3,040, and third place went to Romania’s Lucian Wolfgang Bilescu, pocketing €1,780.

The Saver Dominated by Jovana Keljacki

The festival also featured The Saver tournament with a progressive KO format, a buy-in of €125+€100+€25, and a €20,000 guarantee. It drew 116 entries, and the title went to Hungary’s Jovana Keljacki who won €3,721. A commendable performance came from Slovak player Martin Koppl, who finished second for €3,221. Armenia’s Spandar Ispiryan secured third place and €1,800.
