WSOP 2026: Calvin Anderson Clinches Two Titles in Three Days (Event #54)

Article cover

The $10K H.O.R.S.E. Championship (Event #54) is a true test of versatility, as players must excel across five different disciplines. This year's edition drew 189 elite players, all vying for a share of the $1,757,700 prize pool.

Anderson's path to his seventh title was a showcase of strength. He entered the final day as one of the favorites, despite facing seasoned competitors like Robert Mizrachi and David Bach at the final table. His biggest challenge came in the closing heads-up against Josh Arieh, a seven-time bracelet winner and WSOP Player of the Year 2023.

Their battle for the title lasted just under half an hour and culminated in the Stud Hi-Lo discipline. In the decisive hand, Arieh held a straight, but Anderson stunned the audience by revealing a flush, sealing his victory.

Calvin Anderson achieved a unique feat, winning two consecutive Championship events in a short time span, having conquered the $10K Razz (Event #48) just three days earlier.
