Event #76: $100K PLO High Roller drew the absolute world elite to Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, amassing a total of 83 entries. The prize pool reached an impressive $7,968,000. Although this event wasn't broadcast live due to coinciding with the Main Event's opening day, fans in the hall created an electrifying atmosphere with several rows deep around the table.
Negreanu entered the final day with the second-largest stack among the last five players. Although the start wasn't ideal and he lost nearly half his chips within the first half hour, he managed to stay calm and claw back into contention. "Tournaments are about minimizing losses when big pots don't go your way and giving yourself a shot at coming back. I stayed in the game, and the cards turned," the new champion later described his emotions.

The Clash with the 'Russian Bear'
In the heads-up, Negreanu faced the formidable Russian pro Artur Martirosian, whom he had previously dubbed the 'Russian Bear' in his vlog. Martirosian entered the showdown with nearly a 2:1 advantage, but Negreanu unleashed a series of aggressive plays that completely broke his opponent.
He confidently explained his dominance in this format: "PLO is a game designed for my skills. I haven't studied it because I don't need to. This game just makes sense to me. I live it, breathe it, and play by instinct."
The final hand saw Negreanu call Martirosian's all-in with K d 9 s 3 d 2 s, hitting a straight on the A d 5 s 4 d flop to decisively eliminate his rival.
