WSOP 2026: Matt Grapenthien Secures Second Bracelet in $10K Stud Hi-Lo (Event #75)

Article cover

Event #75: $10K Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship attracted a total of 190 players and generated a prizepool of $1,767,000, shared among the top 29 finishers.

Grapenthien, known as “Grapes,” is no stranger to this discipline. He secured his first bracelet back in 2014 in the $10K Stud Championship, and his experience was on full display during the final day.

The path to the title was anything but easy, with a final table packed with big names including Chris Brewer and Maxx Coleman. The concluding heads-up match against Germaine lasted around 90 minutes. At one point, the British player took the lead, but Grapenthien’s steady play regained the lost chips.

The turning point came when Grapenthien won the biggest pot of the tournament by completing quad deuces. In the decisive hand, Germaine held three fives, but Grapenthien clinched the victory with a last-card set of eights.
