WSOP 2026: Myles Mullaly Clinches His First Bracelet After Head-Up Comeback (Event #84)

Article cover

Event #84: $5K NLH Super Turbo Bounty attracted a total of 1,213 entries, generating a massive prizepool of $5,579,800. Originally planned as a one-day event, the tournament had to be extended to a second day due to the overwhelming interest and fast pace of play, with the final eight returning for the last showdown.

Myles Mullaly described his victory as an “unbelievable run.” During the first day alone, he won around 20 all-ins, losing just one.

The final table began under the dominance of Taiwan's Pete Chen, who held roughly 40% of all chips in play and entered the final heads-up match with a commanding 5:1 lead.

However, Mullaly didn't lose a single hand in the heads-up. First, he doubled up with J d 7 d against Chen's A c 7 h by completing a straight on the river. Shortly after, he secured another double-up with A d 9 s against K h 8 c.

The decisive hand came when Chen opted for an all-in pre-flop with A s 8 d and Mullaly called with 9 c 9 d. The board of 7 s T d T h 9 s 6 s delivered Mullaly a full house, sealing his monumental victory.

Mullaly not only captured his maiden bracelet but also more than doubled his previous career-best earnings.
