Event #59: $500 Salute to Warriors is one of the series' most popular events, not only for its accessible buy-in but also for its charitable cause. This year's edition attracted a massive 4,478 entries, generating a prize pool of $1,835,980, with approximately $180,000 donated to the United Service Organizations (USO) and other charities supporting military veterans.

The road to victory was a thrilling journey through a star-studded field that included 2006 Main Event champion Jamie Gold. On the 20th anniversary of his historic win, Gold aimed for another bracelet, but his run ended with a 17th-place finish. Attention was also drawn to U.S. Navy veteran Holly Foley, who made a remarkable debut by finishing in fifth place.

In the final heads-up battle, Prashanth Nataraj faced off against Laurance Essak. Nataraj entered the showdown with a 2:1 chip lead. A surprise awaited the new champion as Phil Hellmuth, the WSOP record holder, congratulated him in person on winning the bracelet.
