Youngest Player in History with Six Bracelets

Event #41: $250K Super High Roller NLH was one of the highlights of WSOP 2026, drawing 56 entries from elite players and generating a massive prize pool of $13,720,000.

Champion Adrian Mateos became the youngest player in history at 31 to achieve six gold bracelets. The path to the title was challenging, facing formidable opponents like Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, and Bryn Kenney at the final table.

Bryn Kenney was Mateos's opponent in the final heads-up. Kenney started with a slight lead, but Mateos quickly turned the tables with a straight over two pairs.

In the tournament's final hand, both players went all-in on the flop of 2h Ts 4c. Kenney held top pair with Th 9d, but Mateos surprised with Doyle Brunson's legendary hand Tc 2c. The turn 8d and river 3d offered Kenney no help, sealing Mateos's victory.

Mateos expressed his joy after the win. “I feel amazing. This is my favorite tournament of the series because it's super expensive and has a better structure than the others. Everything went according to plan, and I managed to win,” said Mateos.

He's been enjoying extraordinary success over the past month, accumulating over $11 million in winnings, pushing him to 5th place on the All-Time Money List with total earnings exceeding $67 million.
