Angelo Arossi Dominates the Field
Swiss sensation Angelo Arossi stands as the undisputed leader throughout the event. Heading into the final day with a massive stack of 9,890,000 chips, Arossi holds nearly 100 big blinds. He maintained his chipleader status throughout Day 3, holding a comfortable lead over his closest rival, Frenchman Benjamin Hammann, who has 6,885,000 chips.
The third day, which commenced with the last 24 players, was action-packed from the start. The path to the official final table was especially agonizing for Austria's Samuel Klocker, the "bubble boy" who missed the chance to play in the final. In contrast, Italian veteran Claudio Di Giacomo, who began the unofficial final table as the short stack, survived thanks to a critical double-up with pocket tens, although he remains with the smallest stack.
The final day kicks off today, March 10, at 1:00 PM local time. All remaining players are guaranteed at least 17,500 CHF, but their eyes are set on the gold ring and the top prize exceeding 190,000 francs.
