WSOPC Liechtenstein: Eggenberger and Carvell Capture Gold Rings

Article cover

Canadian Carvell’s Dominance

The 500CHF Mystery Bounty tournament once again proved the immense popularity of this format. The original 100,000CHF guarantee was surpassed after just two starting flights, and with a total of 384 entries, the prize pool soared to 172,800CHF. Half of this amount was dedicated to placement rewards, while the other half went to the thrilling Mystery Bounties.

The main hero of this event was Canadian player David Carvell, who claimed victory from start to finish. Carvell built a chiplead during Day 1C and maintained his position throughout the final day, entering the round of 57 finalists as the leader. In the concluding heads-up, he defeated Thailand's Nik Ruangroj, earning 16,760CHF (excluding bounties) and a prestigious gold ring.

Eggenberger's Ring after “Overtime”

The third ring event, the 660CHF NLH 6-max, attracted 151 entries, amassing a prize pool of 90,600CHF. The winner of the originally one-day event was decided in an additional playoff between Stefan Eggenberger and Florian Geiger.

In heads-up, Swiss player Stefan Eggenberger confirmed his outstanding form. This marks Eggenberger’s second major success in three months, following his victory in the prestigious CAPT Million Main Event at the end of 2025. For his win in Liechtenstein, he claimed 21,720CHF, a gold ring, and a 5,000$ WSOP package.
