The Main Event, with a buy-in of 1,500€, recorded 1,160 entries, easily surpassing the million-euro guarantee, setting a new European record for WSOPC Main Events. The final prize pool rose to an impressive 1,487,120€.
Laszlo Janoszki confidently leads the tournament, having dominated the field on days 1A, 2, and 3. The third day started with the last three tables, aiming to form the nine-player final table.
The last player eliminated before the final table was fellow Hungarian Peter Kamaras, whose A-K was outmatched against Rostyslav Sabishchenko's K-J. He couldn't repeat the success of his compatriots starting from the strongest position.
Host nation Slovakia is represented at the final table by Tomáš Kubaliak, currently in fourth place. Interestingly, a new WSOPC ring winner is guaranteed, as none of the finalists have previously won this golden trophy.
The winner will take home not just the ring but also a 235,000€ top prize and a 5,000$ WSOP Paradise package. The final begins at 14:00 local time and can be followed live on YouTube.
