Main Event: Record Participation on the Horizon
The highlight of the program is undoubtedly Event #5: €5,300 WSOPE Main Event, attracting players with a guaranteed prizepool of €10,000,000. The opening flight 1A saw a tremendous turnout with 803 entries. Given that the historical record from 2023 stands at 817 entries, it's certain that this year we're witnessing history in the making.
The ceremonial start and traditional “Shuffle up and deal” was handled by Annette Obrestad, the youngest bracelet winner ever and champion of the first WSOPE Main Event in 2007. Returning to the tables after a long break, Obrestad successfully advanced to the next day.

EPT champion Aliaksei Boika became the chipleader of the first flight, one of only two players surpassing the 400,000 chip mark.
The day didn't pass without drama, courtesy of local player Martin Kabrhel. Several players, including David "ODB" Baker, complained about his behavior. Kabrhel, who received an official warning from floor managers for his loud demeanor, fired several bullets during the day but failed to advance.
