Legendary Juanda Falls Just Short
The $1,100 Seniors event for players over 50 drew a total of 634 entries to Wynn, with only the top 60 advancing to the final day. All eyes were on five-time WSOP bracelet holder John Juanda, who made it to the final heads-up.
In a thrilling battle for the title, Juanda was ultimately defeated by Frank Weigel. Weigel took home the prestigious trophy and a prize of $96,961.
Juanda had to settle for second place and a sum of $62,678, which stands as his highest win this year.

Luciano Macchiarelli Rejoices Once Again
The open $1,100 event was dominated by Argentine player Luciano Macchiarelli, who emerged victorious from a field of 855 entries. Macchiarelli, who last year claimed a $250,000 Mystery Bounty at Wynn, reaffirmed his prowess by winning the trophy and a prize of $180,715.
The second and final $250,000 Mystery Bounty was pulled by Luciano Macchiarelli on his first bounty of the day.
