The prestigious €5,300 EPT Main Event in Barcelona has moved past the bubble, and today, Day 3 will see the return of the final 205 players from the original massive field of 1,823 entries. All remaining players are now guaranteed at least €9,900. However, the true target for each of them is the Golden Shard trophy and the top prize of €1,370,050 from the total prizepool of €8,841,550.
Leading the pack from the start is Polish player Grzegorz Kozieja, who is the only one to have crossed the million-chip mark, holding the chipleader position with a stack of 1,040,000 chips.
Adding to the excitement, seven former EPT Main Event champions are still in the running for another title. This list includes Mark Teltscher (502,000), Sebastian Malec (488,000), Anton Wigg (404,000), Simon Wiciak (336,000), John Juanda (226,000), and Barny Boatman (206,000). Other notable poker names still in play are Brock Wilson (415,000) and Nacho Barbero (404,000).
