The prestigious APT High Roller with a buy-in of 5,000,000 KRW (~$3,700) at LES A Casino in Jeju, South Korea, attracted a massive turnout. A total of 295 entries shattered the initial 700 million guarantee, boosting the final prize pool to 1,274,400,000 KRW (~$958,195).
After a challenging first day, only 65 players remain, with just 39 spots getting paid. The minimum cash stands at 8,700,000 KRW (~$6,540), while the champion will take home 252,850,000 KRW (~$190,110) plus a $10,000 ticket to the APT Championship in Taipei.
Brazil's Higor Seibel leads the pack after a commanding performance, bagging a massive stack of 1,500,000 chips. Trailing half a million behind are China's Mou Yue and India's pro player, Kunal Patni.
A formidable lineup of familiar names marches on in the title hunt, including Rene von Reden, Scott Margereson, Tom Verbruggen, Daniel Neilson, Martin Sedlak, WSOP bracelet holder Abhinav Iyer, and former Main Event champion Dicky Tsang.
