Daniel Ghionoiu Crowned Main Event Champion
The most anticipated tournament of the festival, Event #12: C$2,500 NLH Main Event, lived up to its prestige and attracted a total of 1,022 entries. This massive turnout created a total prizepool of C$2,319,940.
The winner, Daniel Ghionoiu, secured his WSOP Circuit gold ring. Along with this triumph, he pocketed a fantastic C$370,001, breaking his previous record and exceeding career earnings of 600 thousand dollars.

Franco Tucci Claims Fifth Ring
Before the Main Event finale, Playground saw the winner of another massive event – the NLH Colossus. With an attractive C$1,000 buy-in, the tournament drew 845 entries, pushing the total prizepool to C$756,275.
Franco Tucci claimed victory, earning a reward of C$116,000. This marked Tucci’s fifth career ring and his second win at the WSOPC this year.
