Nazar Buhaiov Rockets from Short Stack to Clear Leader

The fourth day of the €5,300 Main Event at EPT Paris significantly reshaped the leaderboard. From the original 1,474 entries, only 16 players remain to share in the massive €7,075,200 prize pool. The winner will take home a whopping €1,148,600.

The standout performer of the day was undoubtedly Nazar Buhaiov. The Ukrainian player started Day 4 with about 23 big blinds but ended with an impressive 7,375,000 chips, equating to 148 BB.

Just behind him is local player Thierry Gogniat, who made significant gains with a series of knockouts late in the evening. Hot on his heels is Dutch professional Joris Ruijs, while the last woman standing, Jessica Teusl, holds fourth place. Also still in the game is the popular streamer and Team Pro member Felix Schneiders.

The penultimate day kicks off on Saturday, February 28, at 12:00 local time. Day 5 aims to form the official final table, concluding play when only six players remain. You can follow along via the official YouTube livestream:

Lagodich Claims First EPT Title in Mystery Bounty

Mystery Bounty tournaments have quickly become one of the most exciting live poker formats in recent seasons, and the EPT Paris was no exception. Event #30: €3,250 Mystery Bounty drew massive interest from players.

The tournament recorded 782 entries, creating a €1,470,160 prize pool with an additional €782,000 in bounty prizes. The title eventually went Stateside with Frank Lagodich, who walked away with €304,360, including mystery bounties. This victory marked Lagodich’s first title on foreign soil and his second-highest career win.

In heads-up play, he overcame local player Erwann Pecheux. Pavlos Xanthopoulos, the only WSOP bracelet holder at the final table, finished fourth despite entering the final day as the chipleader.
