Nick Rigby Sparks Frenzy in St. Louis – Secures Three Trophies in 24 Hours

Rigby’s first win came on Thursday at Hollywood Casino St. Louis during the RunGood Poker Series. He entered the final table as the chipleader, but his journey to potential victory was not without challenges. He admitted that Kyle Morris, who he described as using an unusual style based almost entirely on all-in/fold decisions, was a significant test. Rigby adapted, endured the pressure, and regained control of the tournament as eliminations piled up.

In heads-up, he faced Walker Miskelly with a lead of about 3:2. The decision came swiftly: Rigby opened with A-4, Miskelly went all-in with A-6, and the board brought a four, sealing the victory of $28,010 and his fourth RGPS ring.

But this was just the start of the story. The next day, Rigby first dominated the $500 PLO Ring Event, which had 93 entries, earning him $11,719 and his fifth ring. Immediately after, he managed a late registration in the $200 Turbo NLH Ring Event with 121 entries and went on another deep run to the top. His third victory in quick succession was symbolically adorned with the combination 3 s 2 s, the suited version of his famous “Dirty Diaper,” knocking out Jim Gidden in three moves when his flush beat the opponent’s A c K s.

The result was a series of three tournament triumphs in just under two days. During the RGPS stop in St. Louis, Rigby won three rings and secured four cash finishes totaling over $45,000. Adding to this his recent sixth-place finish for $72,925 in the Main Event at WSOP Circuit Cherokee, it’s evident Rigby is riding not just the wave of his cult hand history but primarily on results.
